About Our Tours from Marrakech
Marrakech is the most popular starting point for a journey through southern Morocco. Within a few hours of leaving the medina you are over the Tizi n’Tichka pass and walking through the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, with the Dades Valley, the Todra Gorge and the dunes of Erg Chebbi ahead.
Our shortest tours from Marrakech return to the city after a night in the desert. Longer ones continue to Fes and the north, add the Atlantic at Essaouira or finish in Casablanca for your flight home. Every tour is private, so the start date, the pace and the stops are yours to decide.

Frequently asked questions
Tours from Marrakech FAQs
How long does it take to drive from Marrakech to Merzouga?
About 9 to 10 hours of driving in total, which is why we split it over two days with a night in the Dades Valley, or into a longer route with stops at Ait Ben Haddou and the Todra Gorge.
Is a 3-day tour from Marrakech to the desert enough?
It is enough to see Ait Ben Haddou, the Dades Valley and the dunes of Erg Chebbi with a night in a desert camp, but the days include long drives. With 4 or 5 days you travel at a more relaxed pace.
Can I start in Marrakech and finish in Fes?
Yes. Many of our tours from Marrakech end in Fes, Casablanca or Tangier. One-way routes avoid driving back the same way and let you visit more of Morocco.
Where do you pick us up in Marrakech?
At your riad or hotel, or at Menara Airport. If your riad is inside the medina, your driver meets you at the nearest gate and helps with the luggage.
What kind of desert camp do you use?
A mid-range luxury desert camp with private tents and en-suite bathrooms; a luxury camp with larger tents, air conditioning and heating is available on request.
How much does a private tour from Marrakech cost?
It depends on the number of travellers, the season, the length of the tour and the accommodation you prefer. Send us your dates and group size and we will reply with a detailed quote.
